Our brief is to find a good franchisee in an area of the country where people value quality products, personal service and bathroom design. For this reason a Ripples franchise should work in most parts of England, Scotland and Wales that sufficient population of this target customer.
From time to time we also have existing franchisees looking to sell their business as a going-concern and in these instances we would introduce you to those franchise owners to discuss the opportunity directly.
Running any successful business requires good management and sales skills and of course a desire to succeed. The Ripples franchise has been proven to generate turnover of £1m plus and gross profit margins of 50% and this is achieved by a focus on the customer as well as the entire sales and customer service experience.
Our franchisees come from different backgrounds with different skill sets and as is life, come with different qualities. With the support from our team we hope to help people develop the skills they may be lacking whilst helping them use their existing strengths to build the business.
Comprehensive training at our head office in Bath is provided before opening as well as throughout the length of the franchise agreement.
It’s naturally going to help. But it can also hinder. We are retailers first and we specialise in providing a bathroom solution to our customers through the provision of a luxury showroom, high quality service and innovative bathroom design. These qualities are quite rare within the bathroom industry (fortunately) so we look for people who share our vision more than we do their understanding of toilets and taps!
Attitude and application matters more than your CV, you need to be success driven and a “go-getter”, it’s as simple as that.
The size of a showroom does not directly link to the showroom’s performance, but obviously it can help. We would typically look for a minimum of 1,500 sq ft although we have showrooms that are 5,000. The consideration is as much the location and the premises costs as it is the showroom size as we want you to be successful for many years to come.
Areas that can support a leading car showroom such as Audi, Mercedes and BMW can easily support a Ripples bathroom showroom. Our customers typically shop at Waitrose, John Lewis and The White Company; so if your local area has one or all of these, let’s talk.
Our franchise fee is £40,000. This is a one-off fee and secures you the trading area for a period of 10 years, renewable with no further franchise fee’s involved.
Ripples can help arrange funding for as much as 70% of the total cost of the franchise, subject to your individual status.
First we need to get to know each other and to make sure we can fulfil our mutual objectives. We are proud of the Ripples bathroom franchise ‘family feel’ and are keen to work with individuals who share these values too! Once we have agreed to work together we would help you search for a property and would typically take a further eight weeks from the time you get the keys to your opening date. During this time of course we are providing you with training and support on the opening and running of your Ripples bathroom franchise.
You can open a Ripples showroom if you have as little as £20,000. We have links in place with specialist lenders (such as HSBC Bank) who after credit checks can work with you on the rest of the investment*.
Yes you can. It is possible to secure a business loan that is partially underwritten by the UK Government for individuals who are unable to provide security*.
